The teams sort out and Yuta starts against Cash, Wheeler VS Wheeler! The two circle, tie up, and Cash waistlocks to SLAM Yuta down. Cash floats to a headlock but Yuta fights up to his feet. Yuta powers Cash to a knee and then pops out to headlock back. Cash powers up and out, things speed up, and Cash hurdles to then arm-drag! Yuta arm-drags in return! Then Yuta DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as Cash backs off. Cash talks it over with Dax, then resets with Yuta. They feel things out, Yuta avoids getting cornered, so Dax tags in. So Yuta tags Claudio! The fans fire up as these two circle. The fans chant for “BALD! BALD! BALD!” in reference to the matching hairstyles.
Claudio and Dax tie up, go around, and end up on ropes. Dax puts Claudio in a corner, Claudio turns things around, but the ref calls for the break. Both men let off slowly, and Claudio smooths Dax’s bald head before smoothing his own. The fans cheer and Dax laughs that off. Cash shares his hair with Dax, then Dax and Claudio reset. They feel things out, Claudio gets around to waistlock, but Dax drops to move around. Claudio almost gets him but Dax gets up to wrench and wrench. Claudio goes for a sleeper but Dax turns around. They fight for suplex control but end up on ropes. The ref counts the break, both men let off, but Dax shoves Claudio!
The fans boo the chippy nature but Claudio shrugs it off. The two tie up again, end up on ropes, and then Claudio UPPERCUTS! Dax flops out of the ring while fans are torn. Cash regroups with Dax, Yuta backs Claudio up, and the teams settle down. Dax returns, he and Claudio circle, and they tie up. They go around, Dax puts Claudio in a corner, then lets off slowly. DaxCHOPS Claudio, and Claudio does feel that one! Claudio nods and storms up to tie up with Dax. They end up in another corner, and Claudio CHOPS! Tag to Yuta, he runs up on Dax to UPPERCUT! And CHOP! And UPPERCUT again! Yuta CHOPS again, but Dax CHOPS back! The CHOPS go back and forth, louder and sharper and Dax fires off! The ref counts as they’re in a corner. Dax whips corner to corner. Dax runs up, Yuta goes up and over to scoop and SLAM! Then SENTON! Cover, TWO! He is here on behalf of our EVPs, Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, and has the contract for this match. It says 20 minutes, no more. So sorry to be a stickler for rules, but it says 20, not 21, not 25,just 20. So their request- Claudio trips Cutler! GIANT SWING for the Young Bucks’ rule monkey! DROPKICK!!
Then Claudio CATAPULTS Cutler into the SHATTER MACHINE!! Well, we didn’t get a definitive winner in this match, but Claudio gets the mic. Claudio knows Cutler ruined the fun, and they won’t shake hands because that’s too cliche. But hey, anytime, anywhere they to do this again, FTR is on. The fans fire up for that, when and where will we see Dax & Cash run it back with Claudio & Yuta?
Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly.
Lexy Nair is with #CombatKyle and notes that tonight in the main event, and for the very first time 1v1, it will be O’Reilly VS Orange Cassidy. Kyle says yeah, and Dynamite was the first time they evencollided. But Kyle can see why Cassidy is the face of this company, why he’s the MVP of AEW. He put the International Championship on the map! But then Roderick Strong shouts at “KYYYLE~!” Roddy steps in, The Kingdom with him, and says here’s what is going on. Ever since Kyle returned, he’s look good. Not great, but good. It just seems like Kyle takes one step forward and two steps back. It’s like… Something is missing. Or perhaps someone?
Roddy says that isn’t the only reason he’s here. He knows Kyle has the big main event match, and Roddy wants Kyle to know The Kingdom is rooting for him. And uh, Roddy’s beat Orange twice, so if Kyle needs advice, Roddy’s your man. Kyle says yeah, he “appreciates” the offer, but they’ve been through this before. Their support means a lot, but he doesn’t need it. Roddy says just remember what Kyle said when he returned. Roddy leaves it at that, will Kyle’s words come back to haunt him?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. The two tie up, go around, and Kris puts Renegade in the corner. Kris UPPERCUTS, then snapmares Robyn with force. Robyn gets up but Kris RAMS her into the other corner! Kris RAMS in again and again, lets off as the ref counts to whip right back into the corner! Robyn falls, the fans boo, but Stokely applauds as Kris flexes. Kris eggs Robyn on, thenfakes a punch to KICK and LARIAT! The fans boo more but Kris sees Robyn go to a corner. Kris runs corner to corner but blocks a boot! “Nice try!” Kris gets Robyn up, Robyn fights with fists and gets free. But Kris blocks a shot to ROCK Robyn!
Kris then drags Robyn around, lifts, and SITOUT BOMBS! Robyn flounders, Kris hauls her right back up and gut wrenches. Tuck and FIGHT NIGHT FEVER! Cover, Kris wins!

As last year’s Owen Cup winner, it is only fitting that she announces her own entry. Willow tells Stat that she hopes to see her in the tournament. Then what is Willow doing here tonight? Oh, just keeping an eye on the action. Willow heads out, will these former friends fight over who heads for Wembley?

He has two things to talk about tonight. One: the fans themselves. For almost 40 YEARS, the fans have not abandoned him. These are the best cameramen in the business, they’re all number one. But the second thing, and the most important thing, and it really pisses him off… But Dustin wants to talk about the one they call “Scapegoat” Jack Perry. The fans boo that name. Storm whips, Frost reverses then says FREEZE! So Storm poses!
The fans cheer, Frost is flustered but she trips Storm! Things speed up, Frost ducks ‘n ‘dodges to handspring and RANA! Storm tumbles out of the ring, Frost fakes a plancha! Frost then mule kicks, then ASAI MOONSAULTS! The fans fire up while Mariah checks on Storm. Frost has her step aside, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Luther helps Storm up while Mariah distracts Frost, and Storm is safe in the ring! Frost is annoyed but she hurries back in. Frost brings Storm around to CHOP! Storm staggers away, Frost storms up on her and CHOPS again! They go to a third corner, but Storm avoids the chop to CHOP in return! Storm brings Frost around to CHOP again! Frost drops to her knees, but Storm gets her up to snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Storm brushes her stinging chest to then get Frost up. Frost throws body shots, but Storm ROCKS her! Storm is just so proud of Mariah, and she should have all the same opportunities as Storm did. But Storm didn’t have someone looking out for her, and that is what Storm is going to be for Mariah. So as AEW Women’s World Champion, Storm is DEMANDING that Mariah be entered into the Women’s Owen Hart Cup!

There is a longstanding history between these two, they were once friends training under Matt Sydal. Dante says that is true. Another fact is that Dante was Lee’s first opponent in AEW. Lee has grown leaps and bounds since that day. BUT, the results next week will still be the same. But hey, all in friendly competition, right? Lee says that’s crazy, because the last time they were in the ring together, Lee won that! So what makes Dante think that when the stakes are this high, it’ll be any different?
Shane says he appreciates this history lesson and all, but that’s all it was: history, the past. Just like their friendship. Now Lee is rolling with the baddest fight team in all of AEW. You think Dante can outwrestle one of the best technical wrestlers in the game today? What Top Flight does barely counts as wrestling, they’re just glorified stuntmen! The only one out of the three with any heart is Action Andretti! Action isn’t sure why he got singled out, but Shane says next week, we see who can really rumble. Lexy is now with Freshly Squeezed, and says he has the big main event match up next, but she knows a lot has been on his mind lately. We saw that video from ZSJ calling him out, and Cassidy says yes, we did. As if he didn’t have enough to worry about. Cassidy has his match with Kyle tonight, all his friends have left him, having either given him a piledriver on steps or a punch in the face. Every other week for the past two years, it was like everyone wanted to team with him. He had so many friends. Now where’s everyone? All gone, he’s alone. And ZSJ wants to talk Forbidden Door? Cassidy has to get through tonight.
Lexy’s seen Kyle O’Reilly in action, right? And so, for the first time 1v1, Cassidy has Kyle. Cassidy thinks that’s like, now. He has to go, he can’t be here right now. Cassidy heads out, having said the most he’s said perhaps ever in his entire AEW career. Is Freshly Squeezed finally starting to feel the pressure of his star power? Can he hold it together against the Violent Artist?
Orange Cassidy VS Kyle O’Reilly!
We heard from both men tonight, and going by how he has The Pixies as his theme and the darker denim jacket on, Orange is in a sour mood. Will he end up bitter after losing tonight? Or will tasting sweet, sweet victory lighten Cassidy’s mood?
Oh and of course, The Undisputed Kingdom makes sure Kyle notices they’re in the crowd for him. The bell rings, Kyle and Cassidy circle. The fans rally and duel, the two men tie up, and Kyle waistlocks. Kyle then shifts to wrench an arm, wristlocks it, but Cassidy works his way into a roll, sits there, then rolls back to wrench back! Kyle kicks Cassidy away, goes for a leg, then brings Cassidy down. Kyle floats to a headlock and he grinds Cassidy down. Cassidy kicks around, the fans rally, and Cassidy less kips free and more scoots free. The fans cheer as Cassidy flops to the ropes. Kyle sits down and waits on Cassidy.
Kyle reclines back, leg guard up, and dares Cassidy to go for the groin. Cassidy isn’t so sure about that, but Kyle stays facing him no matter where Cassidy goes. Kyle then rolls back for an upside-down guard. Cassidy being perplexed is something new, but then Cassidy sits down to dare Kyle to go for the groin. Kyle BOOTS Cassidy, knuckle locks, but Cassidy denies the top mount to MONKEY FLIP! Cassidy rolls back, but into the body scissors! KIMURA, but Cassidy has the ROPEBREAK! Kyle lets go cleanly, and the fans rally behind him. The Kingdom really pour it on, too. Kyle and Cassidy tie up, and Kyle headlocks.
Cassidy powers up and out, but Kyle avoids the arm-drag to trip Cassidy. Kyle steps all over Cassidy, runs, but blocks the hip toss to go for a hip toss, only for Cassidy to turn that around! Cassidy drags Kyle to a lateral press, ONE! Kyle has the ghost pin, ONE! Cassidy shifts around to ghost pin, TWO! Kyle shifts to ghost pin, TWO! Cassidy shifts and Oklahoma Rolls, TWO! Kyle wrenches and wraps Cassidy up, MOUSE TRAP! TWO, but now Cassidy’s in a GROUND OCTOPUS! Cassidy kicks and flails, ROPEBREAK! Kyle lets go cleanly and the fans cheer. Cassidy bails out, The Kingdom is there to taunt him, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Cassidy paces, frowns, and goes back inside. Cassidy then slides back out, getting a fresh count. Cassidy lazy fist bumps fans, then he goes back into the ring. Cassidy and Kyle reset, tie up, and Kyle wrenches to a wristlock. Kyle drags Cassidy down and headscissor holds! Cassidy endures, but Kyle pushes up to put on the squeeze! Cassidy kicks but can’t kip free, and Kyle puts on more pressure! Cassidy headstands, then kicks to pop free. Cassidy puts his hands up, but Kyle keeps them from the pockets! Kyle drags Cassidy around into the ARMBAR! Cassidy kicks and flails, ROPEBREAK! The erf counts, and Kyle lets off.
Cassidy shakes out his arms while he stands up, and he resets with Kyle again. They tie up, Cassidy headlocks, but Kyle endures. Cassidy wrenches to wristlock, then hammerlocks. Kyle switches the hammerlock onto Cassidy, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns and Cassidy fights up, only for Kyle to headlock. Cassidy powers out to then headlock and takeover! Kyle pushes his forearms into Cassidy’s face, rolls him to a cover, ONE! They stand, Kyle powers up and out but Cassidy slips around to hit another headlock and takeover! The fans cheer this technical exchange, then they rally up and duel. Kyle fights up to throw body shots, then he sends Cassidy to a corner. Kyle runs in, Cassidy slides under, but then Kyle rebounds to slide under Cassidy! Kyle goes for a leg, Cassidy steps over and wrenches. Kyle wrenches back, suplexes, STUN DOG- NO! Kyle stops the stunner for a SLEEPER!
Cassidy flails, reaches out, but Kyle rolls him back! But Cassidy rolls through, gets the wrists, and he uses ZSJ’s EURO CLUTCH! TWO!! Kyle escapes, but then Cassidy puts hands up! Kyle stops him from putting them in pockets! Cassidy still tires, but Kyle fights those off! Kyle uses a shoulder to block one, then clinches! Cassidy fights to reach for his pants, but Kyle still holds the arms up! So Cassidy puts his hands together and slips out the bottom! The fans cheer as Cassidy gives a lazy thumbs up! Cassidy then ducks the buzzsaw! Hands up, and in pockets! The fans cheer but Kyle is annoyed. Kyle whips, Cassidy rolls then hurdles, then MONKEY FLIPS!
Cassidy kips up, but Kyle KICKS, SLAPS, KNEES and KICKS! LEG SWEEP! The Kingdom is all fired up for Kyle, and Kyle KICKS Cassidy in the back! Kyle drags Cassidy up, wrenches an arm, and hits an ELBOW BREAKER! Kyle whips Cassidy to a corner, Cassidy goes up and out, ducks a shot and bumps Kyle off buckles! And off more buckles! Then back the other way, but Kyle HOTSHOTS the arm! Kyle gets a leg now, DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Cassidy falls, Kyle goes out and he brings Cassidy around. Kyle SLAMS the leg on the edge! Then he DECKS Cassidy with a forearm! SLAM the leg, DECK Cassidy!
The Kingdom cheers and that just annoys and confuses Kyle. Roddy whispers something to Kyle, perhaps one of his “secrets” to defeating Cassidy? But then Cassidy storms up to ROCK Kyle! And again! Kyle gets the leg, DRAGON SCREW and Cassidy is sent into the barriers! The Kingdom fires up, the ref checks Cassidy, but Kyle storms up on Cassidy. Kyle gets the leg again, DRAGON SCREW and again Cassidy hits barriers! Could this be the hint Roddy gave Kyle? Kyle puts Cassidy in, then stalks Cassidy to a corner. Kyle fires knees, backs off to run back in, but blocks a boot! That leg is put in the ropes, Kyle DRAPING DRAGON SCREWS the other leg!
Cassidy falls over and flounders away! Kyle stalks Cassidy again as Collision goes picture in picture.
Kyle stomps Cassidy at the ropes, lets off as the ref counts, then puts a leg on the ropes. Kyle stands on that leg, to then stomp the other! The Kingdom continues to applaud, Kyle stalks Cassidy to a corner. Kyle HEADBUTTS Cassidy down, ties up the legs, and mocks putting hands in pockets before hitting a FIGURE FOUR SNAP LOCK! Cassidy writhes, Kyle stalks him out of the ring, and again The Kingdom applauds. Kyle drags Cassidy up to KICK him against barriers! Kyle then KICKS the leg out and Cassidy sits down! Kyle stomps Cassidy, drags him up, puts him in the ring, then stalks him some more.
Kyle grabs at Cassidy, but Cassidy reels him into a cradle! TWO!! Kyle KICKS the leg out and Cassidy falls over! Kyle paces around Cassidy, like a shark with blood in the water. Kyle kicks Cassidy, KICKS him again, and again! But Cassidy just gets mad! Cassidy stands, Kyle KICKS him again! And again! Cassidy shakes his head, Collision returns to single picture, and the fans duel as hard as they can! Kyle KICKS, Cassidy shakes his head more and more! Kyle KICKS and KICKS and fires forearms! Then ELBOW- NO, Cassidy blocks that to wrench and PELE the arm! Kyle staggers, Cassidy WRINGS that arm out! And PENALTY KICKS it!
The fans fire up, Kyle bails out, and Cassidy builds speed! Cassidy DIVES and direct hit into Kyle! Kyle hits railing, Cassidy hobbles back up, and Cassidy puts Kyle in the ring. Cassidy climbs a corner, leaps, CROSSBODY! But Kyle rolls through, goes for an arm, only for Cassidy to victory roll that! TWO, and Kyle KICKS the bad arm! Cassidy SUPERKICKS Kyle! Kyle drops to a knee, Cassidy aims, but Kyle blocks the superkick! Kyle spins Cassidy around, GERMAN SUPLEX! Cassidy staggers to his feet, and he manages to SNAP GERMAN SUPLEX Kyle! Kyle staggers up, and he SNAP GERMAN SUPLEXES back!
Both men stagger, Cassidy SNAP GERMANS!! Kyle rises, as does Cassidy, they head for each other, but then fall right over! The fans are thunderous! Kyle and Cassidy rise up again, and Cassidy “unleashes” his kicks! Kyle returns the favor! “OH~! OH~! OH~!” And now the kicks really start to hit! They go back and forth, harder and harder, KICK for KICK, but then Kyle blocks to KICK, ROCK and reel Cassidy in! Suplex, STUN DOG- NO! ARMBAR!! But Cassidy clasps hands to put one in his pockets! So Kyle shifts to get a leg! ANKLE LOCK!! Cassidy endures, fights up, hops around, only for Kyle to go for a sweep!
Cassidy hops over the sweep kick again and again, then KNEES Kyle! Kyle staggers, Cassidy scoops, MICHINOKU DRIVER!! Another message to ZSJ and Cassidy covers, TWO!! Kyle survives and Cassidy is stunned! The fans rally up, “This is Awesome!” but The Kingdom is frustrated on Kyle’s behalf. Cassidy rises, huffs and puffs, and he runs up, but Kyle ducks the Penalty Kick! Kyle ROCKS Cassidy, but Cassidy PENALTY KICKS! Off comes the elbow pad! Cassidy slashes his throat, takes aim from the corner, Kyle stands, but he ducks the Orange Punch! Pop-up, into ARMBAR!! Cassidy wants to get hands in pockets, but Kyle puts his own hands in Cassidy’s pockets!!
Kyle has trapped Cassidy, then has the SLEEPER!! Cassidy flails, reaches out, and the fans rally as hard as they can! The ref checks Cassidy, The Kingdom says to finish this, but Cassidy gets a second wind! He backwards headbutts free! Cassidy then throws knees into Kyle’s head! Cassidy stands, Alabama Lift, BEACH BREAK!! Cover, TWO?!? Kyle survives and The Kingdom is beside themselves! Cassidy goes to a corner, Council Bluffs is fired up behind “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” and he takes aim. ORANGE- KNEE! AX and- NO, Cassidy avoids Smash to ORANGE PUNCH! Kyle yoyos and returns, into an ORANGE PUNCH!!

The Kingdom cannot believe it! Cassidy was combat ready and grits it out against Kyle in their first 1v1 encounter ever. Cassidy gives a thumbs up to Kyle out of respect, but Kyle seems a bit frustrated with himself. WAIT, Trent Beretta & Kyle Fletcher slide in! Trent CLOBBERS Cassidy!! The fans boo, and Kyle sees this as the Don Callis Family mugs Cassidy! Kyle says hell no, and he storms back in! Kyle fires off on Fletcher! But then Trent CLOBBERS Kyle! The DCF beat down Kyle & Cassidy, why isn’t The Kingdom doing anything to help their “friend?” And then Trent puts Cassidy in the SNAKE BITE!!
Fletcher stomps away on O’Reilly, it’s Kyle on Kyle violence! BUT WAIT! Kris slides in! Kris taps Trent on the shoulder and he lets off. They shake hands,they’re still friends. The fans boo as Kris then sits Cassidy up, but he’s dead weight! But here comes WILLOW! Willow slides in, Kris runs away! The Babe with the Power warned Kris that they’ll see each other soon enough. But will Willow and Cassidy have to watch each other’s backs if they want a fair shake against Kris and Trent?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, with some real story development here. Kris of course beats Renegade and I do like her getting in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Good stuff with the new tron and Stokely’s promos, too. Willow also had a good promo in response, and we should’ve of course seen how things would go at the end of tonight. Awesome main event from Cassidy VS O’Reilly, with good stuff from The Kingdom ringside the whole time. Great win for Cassidy, and then of course Trent attacks with back-up from Fletcher. Kris also looks to add on, but good counter from Willow. I was expecting a Mixed Tag, maybe we get a Mixed Six if they want Kyle and Kyle included. Chances are, one of the Kyles takes the loss, maybe The Kingdom screws around to keep it protected.
The opening tag match of FTR VS Claudio & Yuta was awesome stuff as far as action, and pulling a time limit draw was fine. Cutler showed up to mouth off on behalf of the EVPs so him getting beat up was fun. Maybe the BCC become allies to FTR against The EVPs? The Acclaimed is already gunning for the tag titles as it is, could something really big be in the works? Good squash win for Nese & Daivari, and I really liked Joe, Hook and supposedly Shibata jumping them in the locker room. Pretty sure we get a Six Man Tag, where Nese, Daivari & Josh Woods take on Joe, Hook & Shibata. Could be a way to build Joe, Hook & Shibata as a trio before taking on Bang Bang Gang.
Very good promo from Shane Taylor Promotions and Top Flight. The way Shane’s putting Action over, could STP be trying to recruit him away from Top Flight? Either way, Lee VS Dante is going to be really good stuff next week, either man is a great choice for the ladder match. Garcia VS Tate was really good but really quick because of course Garcia was gonna win. Garcia being from Buffalo, New York, I am very sure they’ll give him an International Championship match for Forbidden Door, and he could possibly even win the title. Garcia needs something, this would be the right spot if Ospreay is staring down double duty between the International title defense and challenging for the AEW World title.
Very good match from Storm and Frost, and good win for Storm. Her little promo with Mariah to put her in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup was good, but this is definitely setting things up for Storm VS Mariah in Wembley. Mariah could help Storm retain the title at Forbidden Door, then shockingly betray her on the build to All In. That would be some wild stuff after all these months of Mariah being a loyal protege. And then great stuff with Dustin VS Johnny TV. Great win for Dustin, and a great promo from him calling out Jack Perry.
