MCU fans may have noticed that New York is a hot spot for movies, shows, and even their beloved superheroes. Almost everything tends to happen in New York, from the location of Stark Tower to its new location upstate. Let's not forget the immense alien battle that took place in Avengers.

Taking a headcount, many of the MCU's superhero characters were bornand bred in the neighborhoods of New York. Some MCU heroes made New York their new home. New York has a lot of terrains to cover so it no surprise that it needs an array of heroes with special abilities to keep it safe from the clutches of evil villains. From the streets of Queens to crime-riddled Hell's Kitchen, expect an MCU hero to appear.

Iron Man

Iron Man/Tony Stark's story originally started in Manhattan, New York. Stark was born a New Yorksocialite, thanks to his parents, Howard and Maria Stark. When audiences are introduced to the character, he prefers the sunny days in California and even resides in Malibu. However, he soon moves to New York to expand his business ventures.

It's clear to note that Stark Towers, where he resided in the first Avengers movie, was in the hub of the bustling city. Stark Tower's location can be estimated to reside where Grand Central currently is. There's also the detail that the new Avengers facility was moved to upstate New York. However, in Endgame, it's believed that Stark lived with his family in Georgia.

It's hard to pinpoint where exactly Bruce Banner resides in the MCU. When he's first introduced, he worked as a doctor in India before being recruited by Black Widow. At the end of the first Avengers movie, Stark drives Banner tothe airport to somewhere fans aren't 100% sure of. However, it can be deduced that Banner lived in New York as he was always at Stark Towers.

Fans never really learn if Banner has a place of his own or simply resided in living quarters at the Stark Towers. There's that small stint where Hulk takes over and lives in Sakaar but, byEndgame, Banner and Hulk merge into one and are often seen at the new Avengers facility.

Iron Fist

Iron Fist was one of the many shows created by Marvel that tried to bring to life another comic book character but on the small screen. Based on the comics of the same name, Danny Tand becomes the Iron Fist after returninghome to New York to reclaim his family's company.

Danny must choose between his duties to his family's legacy and his heroics as the Iron Fist. The show and character are both set in the Big Apple but fans aren't exactly sure where. It can be presumed that it takes place more towards the Uptownareas of New York City.

Punisher

Frank Castle's reputation as the violent Punisherwill have anyone quivering in their boots. The comic book character appeared in the 2017 show, The Punisher which only lasted two seasons. It followed the life of a former Marine Corp soldier, who decides to seek revenge and retribution after his wife and children were killed.

The show and characters are based in New York as Frank uncovers a much bigger conspiracy that runs deep into the criminal organizations of the city. Much like other MCU characters, Frank is well-known throughout the city and doesn't specify the location where he resides.

Daredevil

The character of Daredevil first came to life with Ben Affleck's rendition in the 2003 movie and later in the MCU show, Daredevil. One aspect of the character that always stood out and was made clear was the area of New York that he watched out for.

For most of the series, Daredevil mainly watches over Hell's Kitchen since the neighborhood was rife with crime. Eventually, he begins to watch over the rest of the city when the Kingpin began to rise to power. Under his protection, many residents got to sleep soundly in their beds.

Luke Cage

Luke Cage was an MCU comic book character, who was the main character in the show of the same name in 2016 before being canceled in 2018 by Netflix. Luke Cage's residency was in a specific neighborhood in New York. After being given superhumanstrength and unbreakable skin, Cage tries to rebuild his life in modern-day Harlem.

Cage gains notoriety as the neighborhood hero, who protects Harlem's citizens from villains. Harlem is a well-known neighborhood in upperManhattan bordering Central Park and the Harlem River.

Jessica Jones

All these MCU heroes living in New York make everyone question if they had time for a quick coffee break together. Jessica Jones joins the list of heroes who resides in New York and can often be seen hanging out in the neighborhood that Daredevilwatches over.

Jessica's office, otherwise known as Alias Investigations, is also seen to be based in New York too, which she can be seen frequently in.

Captain America

In Captain America: The First Avenger, audiences get to see Steve Rogers's origin story and how he became the eponymous hero.Many instances prove that Steve lived in Brooklyn and it's even said multiple times throughoutthe franchise.

Doctor Strange

Doctor Strangealways residedin New York City. The once highly credited neurosurgeon was at the top of his field at the Metro-General Hospital in New York. There are even scenes of Strange's luxurious penthouse apartment with a spectacular view of Manhattan.

Audiences are also able to tell thatDoctor Strange takes place at the sanctum in New York City as Strange fends it off from the clutches of the zealots with aid of the levitation cloak. There's an epic battle scene involving a mirrored version of the city. In the end, Strange becomes the guardian of the New York City sanctum to continue his training with Wong. Strange is seen living in the sanctum in Thor: Ragnarok and in Avengers: Infinity War.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man is the friendly neighborhood hero of Queens, New York.Peter Parker is raised by his Aunt May in an apartment and attends Midtown School of Science and Technology.

While Spider-Man keeps watch over his beloved neighborhood, he also fights crime throughout the city. It was one of the best moments in the MCU when Cap fights Spider-Man in Winter Soldier and asks where he's from. Spider-Man answers Queens while Cap answers Brooklyn.
